David Drucker, MD

David Drucker, MD attended Haverford College in Pennsylvania where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He attended medical school at the University of Rochester, in New York where he graduated with honors. Following his internship at Rochester General Hospital, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester. He then completed a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Drucker is certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

In 1993, Dr. Drucker founded Retina Consultants of Seattle. He then opened a second office in Bellevue, in 2003, to provide the same excellence in vitreoretinal care to the eastside of Lake Washington.

Dr. Drucker is an experienced surgeon who treats vitreoretinal conditions with the latest surgical techniques. He was among the first surgeons in the Seattle area to employ “no-stitch” 25 gauge vitrectomy for repair of vitreoretinal diseases. Dr. Drucker stays on the leading edge of innovative surgical techniques, and primarily operates at Northwest Hospital in Seattle, and Overlake Hospital in Bellevue.

He enjoys sports and boating, but most of all, spending time with his wife and five children.

George Ko, MD

George J. Ko, M.D. completed his undergraduate work at Columbia University in New York and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship in Medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine followed by Ophthalmology Residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Ko completed his fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery with The Retina Group of Washington and The Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center combined program in Washington, DC.

Dr. Ko is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has presented at national and international retina meetings on the treatment of age-related macular degeneration and retinal detachment as well as given CME courses on retinal vascular diseases. He is a recipient of the 2007 Secretariat Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Ko enjoys outdoor activities as well as gourmet dining and travelling with his wife. He is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr. Ko will be practicing at both the Seattle and Bellevue clinics.

Eric Subong, MD

Dr. Subong was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended the University of Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. Following an internal medicine internship at The Ochsner Clinic Foundation and residency training in ophthalmology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center, he completed his fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery with the Vitreo-Retinal Foundation.

He holds several professional memberships that include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Dr. Subong enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, as well as, sports and photography.
